The Thread Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing and ending the cycle of child abuse, invites Houstonians to a Community Night on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Royal Oaks location of Five Guys Restaurant, located at 11700 Westheimer, 77077.
Founded by Sheila Aron, The Thread Alliance’s mission is to bring child abuse awareness to the forefront and provide a central registry of local, state, and national resources for individuals seeking prevention, intervention, or treatment information and services. The Thread Alliance also provides funding to local organizations that address the same issues and help protect every child from cruelty and neglect.
In an effort to spread awareness, education and ultimately ending child abuse, proceeds from the Community Night will benefit The Thread Alliance. Five Guys offers burgers, hot dogs and grilled sandwiches and will donate up to 20 percent of guests’ purchase back to the organization.
Everyone is encouraged to enjoy a meal at Five Guys and support The Thread Alliance by presenting a flyer, which can be found on the organization’s website and Facebook page for downloading or printing. Guests will also learn about I’m Glad I’m Me, Weaving the Thread of Love From Generation to Generation, a book written by Aron that demonstrates how to spread the message of love.
